So here we are, another season comes to a close and end of our journey with Mini Rugby. It doesn't seem that long ago, there were 4 of them running around a 20 x 12 pitch with a size 3 ball, with tag belts.... now look at them ... wow.
End of Season - 12th May
We start at 10am tomorrow, with some games, the award service and general fun.
Don't forget £5 for a drink and a burger/hot dog... there will be bouncy castles and a "Secret Activity"
There will also be some other things going on ... some help to supervise on the day would be appreciated.
U12's - Season 2019/20
So its all change ... the mini tournament schedule is left behind and we move to a single game format of ( 2 x 20 mins ) based around the Sussex Waterfall based tournament, arranged games with other clubs and training.
The Sussex Waterfall Series sees 26 sides play in 6 pools (A-F) with teams placed in each pool based on relative strength. Teams in each pool will play each other once, there is promotion and relegation within the pools, the intention being over the next few seasons, balance is reached in the pools.
Team size moves to 12 on the pitch with 4 subs.
The England Rugby have introduced the Half Game Initiative across all age groups for next season, to make sure everyone in a match day squad gets to play at least half the game time available.

In the first half of the season we will play approx 6-7 games against different types of opposition, so plenty of opportunity for our squad to develop and grow.
This is the next major step for the squad on their Rugby Journey.
